Through the support of the Concord School District, Concord Trust Grant funds, NH Dropout Prevention and Adult Diploma Program grant allocations, the Concord Regional Diploma Academy in collaboration with Project SEE, continues to develop project based academic and service programs. Our ongoing initiatives address local agriculture and food production, history and active citizenship, alternative and sustainable energy sources, and community connected partnerships and stewardship.
Since 2013, students and staff have continued to design, create and sometimes simply rebuild various farming and food production methods integrating STEM projects, entrepreneurship and communication skills.
SEEDS 4 THE FUTURE constructed a 22’ wide passive solar Geodesic Grow Dome greenhouse to house large scale hydroponic and aquaponic food production, and offer space for scientific investigations at White Farm in Concord. In addition teams have constructed soil based farming beds and high tunnel areas.
Our goal is to have students creating, operating and managing a self-sufficient and sustainable agriculture, civic minded and community integrated learning enterprise. Students of all ages (6 – 66+), grades (K-Adult High School) academic (content and technology areas) and social abilities benefit from SEEDS 4 THE FUTURE and the educational, technical, economic and communal benefits it provides.
